Citizens are formal members of the Consortium that hold voting and governance rights and responsibilities around association through individual agency in the Consortium and Network stewardship. Citizenship rights and responsibilities require this status in the governance DAO for the Consortium.
A defined, shared integration of collaboration towards a specific objective and set of outcomes, or an ongoing activity or process. Collaboratives may be as informal as Working Groups and as formal as inter-organizational agreements, programs, or joint projects. Collaboratives are essentially defined containers for Projects and Programs that involve informal Contributors and formal Collaborators.
Consorts are organizations that are formal members of the Consortium and hold governance rights and responsibilities around association through organizational agency in the Consortium and Network stewardship. Organizational agency and individual agency are different forms of agency in the Consortium and involve different governance rights.
Consortium is an agreement between parties - essentially a contract that establishes specific, defined relationships. The OpenCivics Consortium is a membership association for aligned innovators, acting in formal relationship as Citizens, or informal relationship as participating Contributors.
A Consortium leverages self-governed coordination infrastructure to provide key network services and generate utility that benefits all members. All Citizens hold governance rights and responsibilities related to the Consortium.
